Home tour: a 2015 two-story in Stone Creek that backs to the golf course
Over 4,000 square feet, a hidden pantry I have plans for, and a backyard where you can watch golfers tee off. Heckling not included.

This 2015 two-story on 163rd Street in Stone Creek has over 4,000 square feet, five bedrooms, a three-car garage, and a backyard that opens right onto the course. The dining room fits a 10-person table, the primary closet has a real shelving system, and the basement has a sump battery backup and radon mitigation already in place. The one thing it is missing at this price is something in the basement that makes it feel finished — even a simple bar.

The curb appeal on this one is real — a big driveway in great shape, a deep landscaping bed, and a front porch that is begging for a bench. Inside, the two-story entry opens up with a little balcony overlooking it from the bedroom hallway.
To the left is a front room staged as an office. I have seen this room in this floor plan used as a playroom, a den, a music room. It is flexible in the best way.
A gas fireplace with a stacked stone front and a mantel — and shutters on the windows that genuinely distracted me mid-sentence. This is the room where 4,000 square feet actually feels like 4,000 square feet.
The island is the right size, the cabinets are a deep wood tone, and there is a double oven and an updated LG fridge. The pantry hides behind a door that looks like the rest of the kitchen when it is closed.
Staged for six, but there is space all the way around for a much bigger table, plus a corner that could be a second little seating area. If you host Thanksgiving, look at this room twice.
Right by the garage entry, with a separate closet for totes, shoes, and everything else you do not want guests to see.
Built-in shelving along the wall for garden tools, and the sprinkler controls right there.
A good-sized deck for a table and chairs, a stamped concrete patio below for the grill, and garden beds — then the cart path and the course. Bring the laptop out here on a work-from-home day and watch people tee off.
The hidden pantry is a good size with basic shelving. Lately I have been obsessed with pantries where people move cabinets down to the bottom, add a countertop, and put floating shelves above — basically a butler’s pantry. Put the coffee maker in there, or a second fridge.
This one is a perfect candidate. I may have to do it to my own pantry, because we just have wood shelves too.
Two nearly identical rooms with average closets (one is currently a lime green, which is an easy fix), and a third that is a little bigger with a walk-in closet.
The toilet and shower are behind their own door, so two people can use the sinks while someone showers. One of the most practical layouts for a shared bathroom.
A king bed and two big nightstands still leave plenty of room. The bath has double sinks, a corner soaker tub with a window, a separate toilet room, and a walk-in shower.
The light comes on when you walk in, and the shelves and hanging rods are at different heights. If you are selling soon, this is one upgrade I would make first — anything but wire shelves.
It is huge, with laminate flooring, a three-quarter bath, a fifth bedroom with a big closet, a non-conforming room with a closet, and a storage room. The sump pump sits in a closet under the stairs with a battery backup, and there is a dehumidifier — both smart in Nebraska, especially after the rain we have had.
In the furnace room: a radon mitigation system, two furnaces, and one water heater. The house was built in 2015, so those are likely original and still relatively young — the seller disclosure will confirm.
Here is my honest take: at this price, the basement needs something to make it special. There are very few windows and just two lights. Even a simple bar with a mini fridge would change how the space gets used. On the other hand, a wide-open floor like this is great for trikes, play mats, and Legos. It depends on what you need it to do.
Yes. As a buyer’s agent I can show you almost any house on the market, regardless of who listed it.
Usually that the room is missing something required to be counted as a legal bedroom — often an egress window. It can still be an office, a gym, or a hobby room. It just cannot be advertised as a bedroom.
A battery that keeps the pump running if the power goes out, which tends to happen during the same storms that send water toward your foundation. It is one of the best inexpensive upgrades in a Nebraska basement.
Tell me your budget and what you need the house to do. I will line up showings and tell you exactly what I think as we walk through each one. The Buyer’s Guide above covers the rest.
